Our History
Modern Art Studio is an Official Rolex and Tudor Retailer, founded in 1936 by Naji Murad. His original shop was located in Government Avenue, Manama, Bahrain.
Being an approved Rolex & Tudor Service Centre we offer a complete After Sales Service with technicians trained and qualified by Rolex and Tudor.
With highly trained, experienced and friendly sales staff, we will assist you with your watch selection from many beautiful timepieces on display in our Rolex and Tudor Boutiques.
1940

In 1940, Modern Art Studio became the first Official Rolex Retailer in the Gulf. Today we are one of the longest established retailers worldwide; our history with Rolex extends over 80 years.
1949

Modern Art Studio became an Official Tudor Retailer, authorised to sell guaranteed Tudor timepieces. Today our history with Tudor extends back over 70 years.
1978

In 1978, Modern Art Studio’s new Rolex showroom was opened by Mr. André Heiniger CEO of Rolex, who commented that it was “one of the best Rolex shops in the world”.
The shop had exclusive showcases which not only displayed the watches but were also cleverly designed into individual letters spelling the name ROLEX.
